Public Sector

Providing rising arm barriers and gates on car parks and vehicle access points to restrict traffic flow and control parking. Installation of bollards along the kerb edging to prevent vehicle ingress into pedestrian areas.

Data Centres

Working alongside a number of manufacturers to supply and install standard and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) crash rated (PAS68 and IWA14) hinge, bifold and sliding gates. Data Centres like many other businesses have changed their approach recently, ensuring all critical assets within the site are protected, to include back-up generators, fuel refilling areas and the building itself.

Education

SMI Ltd have delivered various automated and manual vehicle and pedestrian gate projects in the education sector, including perimeter fencing.

Healthcare

The pharmaceutical industry has become very aware of threats to their staff and premise and SMI Ltd have seen an increase in perimeter security requests in this sector. Gates and fencing feature highly on the tender specifications, some with double layer security, such as vehicle interlock systems.

Utilities and National Infrastructure

Fencing projects have become a large part of utility and national infrastructure security. Installation of standard and LPS1175 rated fencing, gate systems and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) crash rated bollards, SMI Ltd are proud to have delivered large projects on time and within budget.

Commercial Business Premises

From rising arm barriers, bollards through to gates and perimeter fencing. A large proportion of the projects undertaken by SMI Ltd fall under the commercial business premises heading.

Call outs to rising arm barriers, roller shutters, gates, entrance doors and bollards have featured highly with the facilities management companies we work with. We service and maintain sites in the UK, carrying our safety risk assessments to ensure systems are compliant with the current legislations.
